Hawaii Three Island Hiker

Hike in Paradise on Kauai, the Big Island and Maui

Hike the lunar landscape of Haleakala Crater and the verdant, soaring cliffs of the Na Pali Coast. Trek near colorful Waimea Canyon and stark Volcanoes National Park. Relax on white-sand beaches and swim in rock-bound pools. Experience Hawaii as few have--off the beaten path!

Days 1-3 Kauai: Na Pali Coast-Waimea Canyon. Discover waterfalls on the garden isle as we hike the Kalalau Trail along the legendary Na Pali Coast to the hidden Hannakapi'ai Valley. Next travel "up country" to the Na Pali Kona Forest Reserve where we hike along exposed ridgelines and are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Na Pali coast. A cruise and snorkeling adventure is followed by some beach time or a quiet nap in the hammock.

Days 4-5 Hawaii: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Hike along the Crater Rim Trail encircling Kilauea's caldera, passing through desert and rain forest. View Halema'uma'u and Keanakako'i Craters with Mauna Loa in the distance. Then hike into Kilauea Iki Crater, watch red lava hiss into the surging Pacific, discover ancient petroglyphs, and explore the Park's extraordinary features.

Days 6-8 Maui: Haleakala National Park-Hana. It's off to Hana on the "King's Highway". Hike the black sand beaches of Wai'anapanapa State Park, with tide pools, sea-arches, blowholes and the remains of an ancient Hawaiian heiau or sacred site. Hike the Pipiwai Trail to awesome Waimoku Falls and the Kipahulu Valley and take a dip in the Pools of Ohe'o Gulch, followed by an afternoon at Hamoa Beach. Then descend into Haleakala, the world's largest volcanic crater, to experience lunar-like landscape and uncommon plant and animal life.
